BENELUX CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 2
J.R.T. CLAIMS 2ND PLACE IN BOTH RACES
The weekend of May 10 - 12, 2008 saw the second round of the Benelux championship.  John Svensson Jr. drove his Formula Ford Duratec RF06D for J.R.T. and realized two second place victories.

John qualified 3rd fastest for the start of both races.  In race 1 John had a good start and kept his place, but an incident at the back of the grid forced the safety car out for five laps.  At the restart John took an excellent start to take the lead at Tarzan, but a few corners later a small slide cost him one place and he crossed the finish line in 2nd place.

In race 2 John had a really good start and finished the first lap in second position.  The first four laps were a little difficult, but then John pulled away.  Unfortunately the leader was already away and so John finished this race also on the second step of the podium.
